Per NEB&W Guide IV
In 1979 a black Gothic herald with the name spelled out was first used. In the May, 2000 Railmodel Journalthere was a Jim Eager photo of no 79097, an exterior post box car (nos 79000-79099) built by Pullman in March, 1979 (a 13 panel car if you count the door as a "panel" - the new Athearn kit no 5800). It was light blue with a light colored (galvanized?) roof, a black door, and white lettering..."

Per 5/2000 Railmodel Journal photo caption
Boston & Maine was one of the few roads that got 5344s [Pullman's model number?] with Pullman's ribbed door. This top view shows off Pullman's flat roof with a single raised rib in each panel that is much broader than Pullman's earlier PS-1 "bow-tie" rib
