The Boston & Maine Railroad Historical Society will meet at Plymouth, New Hampshire on Oct. 15, starting at 1:00 PM. The location is the Plymouth Community Center, 8 Depot St., Plymouth, NH 03264. It is the former Boston & Maine RR passenger station for Plymouth, along the line which carried trains between Boston and Montreal. This is an active track, hosting an autumn foliage excursion train which will be timed to arrive between noon and 1:00 PM. This train is courtesy of the Winnipesaukee Scenic RR. The program will feature three presentations: Gregg McFarland-Concord to White River Jct. in the 60s and 70s along with Selkirk in the Conrail era; Geoff McFarland-early Guilford around Dover, NH and the Berlin Mills Railway; Jere Ross-early Guilford and St. Lawrence & Atlantic RR around Portland, Maine.
