Image from June, 1893 Official Railway Equipment Register, p215
I am assuming there is some (perhaps vague) resemblance of this image to the actual cars, but in lieu of builder's (or other) photos, it is likely as good as I'm going to get.

ORER Notes
09-1899 (and I beleiev other issues)
E. F. C. H. Co. 1 to 50 are common box cars without heaters; 499 is a ventilated heater;
901 to 1000 are refrigerators not equipped with heaters; 50201 to 50250 are ventilated fruit cars equipped with heaters
Discussion, General Notes
6/1895 - note some some cars renumbered from 1-1000 series Eastman Heaters into this series
8/1901 - 50101-50200 series merged back in. Note dimensions change (not sure what that means)
3/1907 - 50200-50250 and 50251-50499 series merged back in.
1917 - as the dimensions change, I'm suspecting (over time) the existing cars were rebuilt/replaced with new cars of the "new" dimensions?
Paint Schemes
Maine Central Eastman Heaters
The Laconia Car CD has quite a few pictures of Maine Central box cars labelled "Eastman Heater". They appear to be 34'-9" inside length, 35 ton cars.
This doesn't really match any of the B&M cars, but in lieu of better pictures, at least maybe some details may be similar. See the following files on the CD:

WLHG23.tif

WLHG25.tif
possible detail (hard to know what car this is for - see photo WLHG30)

WLHG28.tif
MEC 65556 side view, detail. Shows open exterior doors, closed interior doors (near side of car)
WLHG29.tif
MEC 65556 side view, detail. Shows open exterior/interior doors on near side of car, closed interior (right) and exterior (left) doors (far side of car)
