B&MRRHS FEBRUARY, 2019 MEETING

The Boston & Maine Railroad Historical Society offers a rare opportunity to learn about railroading from the (real) head-end. Long time society member, Rick Hurst, who has retired after a career in regional rail transportation management presents, My Forty Years On The Railroad! Rick will explain how he and other dedicated rail managers kept the trains running through the trails and tribulations of private, national and local authority. It takes more than gravity and friction to keep the wheels on the tracks. “Heck of a way to run a railroad”! The meeting location is Rogers Hall on Rogers St. in Lowell, Ma. Note starting time of 3:00PM. Additionally, shirts, hats, and outerwear bearing the B&M logo are on sale as well as railroad related books, DVDs and models. There is free parking across the street. For weather related meeting cancellations, call the society phone at 978-454-3600 after 11:00AM, or check our web site at www.bmrrhs.org.
